Being from Florida, particularly the Clearwater/St. Petersburg area, helps when it comes to making decisions about Greek food. When we lived in Clearwater, we were thirty minutes away from Tarpon Springs, which boasts some of the best Greek food around. Mom and pop shops lined the streets next to the sponge docks and just about every other weekend Jeff and were down there trying out the gyros or baklava. When we moved to Texas, I thought the Greek world had ended.
I am so glad to find out that someone else in the DFW area has been wanting the Greek flavor to meet the Cowboy grit. Terra Mediterranean Grill has been open since the end of February but it is still new every time you take a bite. Hummus is the word and Pita is the next one. The smell of Feta and grape leaves makes me want to do the grapevine. On the weekends, crowds spill out onto the patio area and admire the view up and down Crockett Street in Fort Worth. Come check it out and be prepared to sip and chow.
